Jason Cavanagh

In 1995 Jason entered the Interschool Shakespeare Festival, (on advice from his mother), as a way of getting out and meeting people; he wasn't much into sport and no one expected him to take to it, but he did.

After leaving school in 1997 Jason went straight into the St Martin's Scholarship Program, as well as appearing in his first amateur production, Radio City. After this he appeared in handful of productions, never quite earning enough to cover his tab.

In 2000, after several years of treading, he enrolled at the National Theatre. There he was introduced to the bizarre notion that acting could actually be a career as opposed to a hobby. During his three years at the National, Jason appeared in a number of productions such as, Admen and Ramsay Street Reject as well as a few short films. Jason also wrote his first play Kiss Them All Soundly in this period.

In 2003 Jason graduated from the National Theatre and went straight to casting himself in his own play with the permission of Chambers!
